Everyone loves a good celebrity cameo in a music video but sometimes there are cameos that completely slip under the radar. Which got us thinking, which celebrities didn’t we clock made a cheeky guest appearance in a music video? Here are a few that we found…

Daisy Ridley – Wiley, “Lights On”

Before becoming a Hollywood actress and starring in the new Star Wars trilogy, the latest film being Star Wars: The Last Jedi, British actress Daisy Ridley made her music video debut in none other than grime Godfather Wiley’s music video for “Lights On” way back in 2013.

Rita Ora – Drake, “Over”

Before Rita Ora properly came onto the scene as a pop superstar and way before her “Hot Right Now” and “R.I.P.” days, Drizzy had already snapped her up and put her in his music video for “Over”. Although this wasn’t her first cameo in a music video as she appeared in Jay-Z’s “Young Forever” video a year earlier.

Malaika Firth – Tinie Tempah, “Not Letting Go”

Kenyan-born British supermodel Malaika Firth makes a cameo as the lead lady in Tinie Tempah’s summer smash “Not Letting Go” featuring Jess Glynne. In 2013 Firth became the first black super model to star in a Prada campaign in 19 years since Naomi Campbell in 1994. She said in an interview with The Telegraph, “It was my dream as a child to star in a music video. So as the opportunity arose I thought I’d tick that off my bucket list!”

Kylie Jenner – PARTYNEXTDOOR, “Come And See Me”

We’re sure everyone clocked this one as it caused a massive storm of rumours that the two were dating after this video was released. But just incase you missed it, after a public breakup from Tyga in 2016, Kylie Jenner starred as Party’s main love interest in the video for “Come And See Me”. We can see why the rumours started flying around as the two get very close and steamy in this video.

Lauren London – Pharrell, “Frontin'”

Actress, model and television personality Lauren London made a prominent cameo in Pharrell and Jay-Z’s music video for “Frontin’”. Way before her Lil’ Wayne days, London looks fresh faced as she plays one of Pharrell’s love interests in the video.

Alesha Dixon – N.E.R.D., “She Wants To Move”

We know her originally as the member of Mis-Teeq with all the fire garage ad-libs, but before she became a Strictly winner and judge, and now treasured British TV personality, Dixon was the main star in N.E.R.D’s music video for “She Wants To Move”.  Showing off her dance moves in this video, it’s no surprise she went on to win Strictly in 2007.

Aldis Hodge – Jay-Z, “Legacy”

Less of a music video and more of a short film, Aldis Hodge who many of us first know from his role as MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton makes his first music video debut convincingly playing an inmate alongside other Hollywood actors Jessie Williams, Ron Perlman and Thelma and Louise star Susan Saradon.

Millie Mackintosh – Professor Green, “Remedy”

Back in 2012 when rumours first started circulating that the two were dating, it seemed the rumours were confirmed when Millie Mackintosh, former Made In Chelsea star and ex-wife of Professor Green, made a cameo appearance in the video to his single “Remedy”. Although only a short appearance, it was enough to let everyone know they were a couple.

Sneakbo – D’Banj, “Oliver Twist”

Showing some support for his GOOD Music signee and afrobeat singer D’Banj, Kanye West makes a quick guest appearance at the end of the video, which certainly helped put this song on the map and showed everyone afrobeats was a genre on the move and was getting world wide recognition. Also look out for South London’s very own Sneakbo, Eddie Kadi and Pusha T’s cheeky cameos in the video too!

Kurupt FM – Jorja Smith – “On My Mind”

Who better to have make a cameo in this garage inspired track from Preditah and Jorja Smith than the modern day garage masters themselves, Kurupt FM. I mean if you’re going to have a good old 90’s style garage shoobz in your flat, who else are you really going to invite?

Naomi Campbell – Jay-Z, “Change Clothes”

Yet another Jay-Z video with a roster of celebrity cameos. South London’s finest supermodel Naomi Campbell, who is no stranger to starring in music videos after her famous appearance in Michael Jackson’s “In The Closet”, does what she does best in the video for “Change Clothes” showing off her famous catwalk.

Eddie Kadi – Mr Eazi, “Pour Me Water”

Probably one of the funniest British African comedians to date, Eddie Kadi makes a guest appearance in the opening for Mr Eazi’s “Pour Me Water”. Doing what he does best, Kadi delivers a hilarious little skit to open up the video.

DJ Khaled – Big Shaq, “Mans Not Hot”

Probably the maddest cameo of the 2017, DJ Khaled appears in a short clip in “Mans Not Hot” where we see him bigging up the roadman rapper Big Shaq and calling him a legend in the game. Also watch out for radio presenter Snoochie Shy who hosts the breakfast show on Radar Radio making a quick cameo as Big Shaq’s hot date (pardon the pun) in the video too, as well as cameos from other big artists like Wacka Flocka and Lil Yachty.
