Prior to his tragic death last month, Pop Smoke was working on his album and now veteran rapper 50 Cent has revealed his plans to executive produce the project.

Taking to Instagam, 50 Cent wrote: “I’m on the move listening to Pop smoke, I decided I’m gonna executive produce and finish his album for him.”

50 Cent’s plans have been cosigned by Steven Victor, the CEO of the label in which Pop Smoke was signed, who commented on 50’s post with the love heart and 100 emoji.

The news comes just weeks after Pop Smoke shot and killed last month in an alleged home invasion burglary.

Despite their different sounds, comparisons have been drawn between 50 and Pop Smoke in recent times. A leak of Pop Smoke’s cover of 50 Cent’s “Many Men” also emerged last week which was praised by 50 on social media.

Official details regarding Pop Smoke’s posthumous album are still yet to be released.
