It’s almost been four years since Jay Z released his last album Magna Carta Holy Grail, but a mysterious banner has the Internet speculating that the music mogul is preparing to drop a new LP real soon.

The numbers “4:44” have been appearing as adverts on various music websites such as Complex and Fader. Despite the fact that nothing happens when you click on the advert, the URL for the image on Complex’s website reveals the text “tidal-444” – the name of Jay Z’s popular streaming service. As well as appearing on websites, the advert has also appeared in public places from Los Angeles to areas in New York.

Music fans initially associated the mysterious advert with Jay Z because of the rapper’s close connection to the number four. For example, he was born on the fourth of December and his wife Beyonce was born on the fourth of September. Some have even speculated that the code “4:44” is hinting at a possible joint project between the power couple.

For now, nothing has been confirmed but many of the clues are pointing to brand new material from HOV. Stay tuned for more information!
