The video for charity single “Bridge Over Troubled Water”, which has been released by some of the UK’s biggest artists to raise money for the Grenfell Tower victims, was debuted on TV last night. The song has already hit number 1 in the charts.

The track is a cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge over Troubled Water” and was recorded at a studio in West London, half a mile from where the tower stands. The video features footage of the artists recording the track inside the studio, interwoven with heartbreaking footage from the ground in the days after the blaze.

It’s an extremely moving song, with Stormzy’s opening verse standing out as being exceptionally poignant.

Watch the video above and download the tune from iTunes now. All proceeds from downloads will go to victims of the fire.
