Anthony Joshua is facing the biggest night of his already illustrious boxing career on April 29th, as he gears up to take on Wladimir Klitschko.
With the fight now just a few days away, AJ is in full preparation mode and is staying relatively off grid, but that doesn’t mean the hype around him isn’t going mad. A few days ago he teamed up with Beats by Dr Dre to drop a playlist giving us an insight into what gets him gassed for a fight and now Beats have dropped something to show their appreciation for the boxer.
The two have paired up to create these mesmerising one of a kind headphones to commemorate Saturday’s fight. The 24K gold custom Pro headphones aim to celebrate AJ’s career as a whole and his ascent to becoming one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Joshua was fully involved in designing the one offs, using his tattoos as inspiration for the design. The black and gold set features details like a replica of his Africa tattoo engraved on both ear pieces and the word “wisdom” embossed across the strap.
Speaking about the tats that inspired the designs, Joshua said, “I always seek wisdom and knowledge like the wise men from the Italian films and Wiseguy, all that stuff. I’ve always sought it, so it had relevance and meaning to me.
“I learnt more about my family’s history and I ended up getting an Africa tattoo underneath it. It was a nice combination to have “Wisdom” and your heritage tattooed underneath, so it went well.”
Not long to go until the big fight now, and we bet AJ will be listening to his mad playlist on these badboys as he psyches himself up.
