Big Sean Shares Highly-Anticipated Album ‘Detroit 2’ Featuring Nipsey Hussle, Eminem & More

Big Sean has returned with his first solo project since 2017’s I Decided.

With the singles “Deep Reverence” featuring the late Nipsey Hussle and “Harder Than My Demons”, it was evident that we were getting a more focused and attentive Big Sean project this time out in this sequel to his 2012 mixtape Detroit.

The album, produced by Hit-Boy, clocks in at around 71 minutes with 21 tracks and sees Big Sean pay homage to his hometown and roots. This is evident with the 19th track “Friday Night Cypher”. On this lively cut, Big Sean calls upon a host of Detroit artists including legends Eminem and Royce Da 5’9” alongside Kash Doll, Tee Grizzley, 42 Dugg and more to deliver one of the album’s highlights.

The album continues to feature a star-studded cast with Young Thug, Post Malone, Jhené Aiko, Travis Scott and Ty Dolla $ign making appearances. In addition to this, the album features stories told by Dave Chappelle, Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder detailing their experiences in the Motor City.

Big Sean delivers with a solid streamlined project that perfectly gives due Homage to the City of Detroit while giving insight into his career, growth as a person, and his current outlook on life.
