Today saw the long awaited release of DJ Khalid’s new album Grateful, featuring scores of the music industry’s biggest names.

One of the names is Big Sean. Featuring on the album’s fifth track “On Everything” alongside Travis Scott and Rick Ross, Sean makes a return to the public’s eye with some bars that have piqued fan’s attention.

Sean’s verse feature the lines “Hungry for the competition, b-tch get on my plate” and “Boy, I’m a Caesar, I see shit and seize it/Roc-A-Fella chain, but you can still get Ethered/Yeah, they don’t really fucking feel me man, but when you really run it they try and clip your Achilles/I’m on track to a billi’, I got Khaled fuckin’ with me/That mean I got the Holy Key and got the key to the city.”

Many are suggesting this could be a subliminal diss toward K.Dot. It’s obvious that Sean is dissing someone, and despite the fact he never mentions Kendrick directly, he does reference their collab track from Khaled’s last album Major Key.

It’s widely believed that Kung Fu Kenny sent for Sean on his pre-DAMN release “The Heart Part 4”, so it would make sense that Big Sean is coming back with the counter punch.

We’ll see what happens next.
