It has now been revealed that the late, great Black The Ripper died from a sudden heart attack while in Montserrat.
The news was confirmed by the family of Black The Ripper – real name Dean West – who shared a statement on social media.
The statement reads: “The family can confirm that the autopsy has finally been carried out in Montserrat and the results are in. Our beloved son Dean died from a sudden heart attack.
“The family would like to thank you for your patience at this tragic time. We appreciate your support and hopefully we can start to find closure in time.”
Black The Ripper’s official cause of death comes months after he tragically passed away back in April while abroad on the Caribbean island of Montserrat.
News of his passing shocked the scene, with many of his peers and fellow musicians paying tribute to him on social media in the aftermath of his sudden death.
