Social media has been flooded with plans to boycott Vue cinema after the chain cancelled all screens of the Rapman directed feature film, Blue Story

The London set movie was released earlier on in the week and many of the screenings were sold out with large cohorts of people wanting to support the film which starred Micheal Ward, Khali Best, Stephen Odubola and more.

Following an unrelated disturbance during a screening of Frozen 2, the cinema at the Star City complex in Birmingham was cancelled.

Vue have now announced that Blue Story has been banned from its cinemas.

They said in a statement, “We regret that we will no longer be screening the film Blue Story at any of our venues. Should you have a booking for this film, please say cancellation when prompted and a member of our team will be with you shortly to assist you with your booking. The safety and welfare of our customers and staff is always our first priority.”

The news that the film has been banned from one of the biggest cinema groups in the UK has not been met positively with social media users.

Vue have been accused of racism and bias by several and big names like Ramz, One Acen and Tion Wayne have called for fans to boycott the cinema in protest.
