The scene continues to flourish in this year’s charts, with Chip now taking a place alongside J Hus and Stormzy in the top spots. The move is his third ever, but first charting since changing his name.
League of My Own II joined the Official Charts at Number 12 this week, ahead of J Hus’ Common Sense which sits at 22 following its release in May, and Stormzy’s Gang Signs & Prayer at 33, which we were blessed with way back in February.
That’s not the only accolade Chip’s week-old album holds though, as it also shot straight to number one on the Official R&B Top 40, pushing Jay-Z’s 4:44 out of first place.
Congrats Chip!
For more LOMO II greatness, watch him joined by Donae’o on “Normal” and killing it with Giggs on “Amazing Minds” .
