Daniel Sturridge has expressed his urging desire to delve into the music world in a new interview with High Snobiety. Talking to the fashion culture website, he talks about how he’s already producing music, as well as his love for the art form.
Asked on the genres that he’s focusing his production on, he said, “All different types – R&B, hip-hop, alternative and a little bit of house and dancehall.”
The Liverpool and England striker is well-known for his attraction towards both the UK and US scene, showing face at many events.
With the lifespan of a football player’s career relatively short, and his love for music, we may soon see him falling into our subscription boxes on YouTube soon.
In addition, he goes on to mention Birmingham producer Screamer and Future-affiliated producer Southside as some of his favourite around. However, he was silent when tasked on revealing other names, which begs the question of who he could’ve been talking about?
Could we see him on the decks distributing wheel-ups, or earning them himself by spitting fire on the mic? Now that’s something we’d love to see.
From scoring goals in front of 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium to DJ’ing to a crowd of 1,000 sweaty people daggering in a rave, now that’s quite the story. Who would you like to see Daniel Sturridge collaborate with? Do you think he’d be any good? Let us know in the comments section or via Twitter.
