A complete trilogy is to be expected for Deadpool fans after the film’s writer has confirmed that the latest blockbuster movie is in the works. All the film is waiting on now is approval from Marvel, then the franchise’s new film is all systems go.
The film’s co-writer Paul Wernick has said that although a lot is still left to be done, himself, Rhett Reese are just waiting on Marvel to give the green light.
“We’re just waiting for the word from on high,” Paul commented when speaking to Den of Geek. “There’s a lot to be sorted out, like how Deadpool fits into the Marvel universe with the other characters of MCU.
“Then it’s, do the X-Men get in there at some point? There’s a lot to be sorted out and I think we’re all getting a much needed rest from Deadpool – Ryan and us and everybody”.
This isn’t the only great news which has come to arrive over the last couple of days. Some fans have been concerned over whether there would be another film, while others have also been unsure on whether the merger of Marvel and Disney would create their favourite character to be watered down. But Paul has assured all fans that Marvel (which is owned by Disney) has promised to allow his team to continue making 15 rated films.
Paul added: “I think once we collectively agree what idea that great idea is, we’ll be off to the races. Ryan is super-busy, we’ve got a lot of projects coming up, but we wake up thinking about Deadpool and we go to sleep thinking about Deadpool“.
