Following the release of his sixth studio album ‘Raskit’ in 2017, the grime legend offers a five-track EP entitled ‘Don’t Gas Me’, with guest appearances from Skepta, C Cane, P-Money and Afronaut Zu.

Dizzee stays true to his style of easily switching between grime instrumentals and upbeat house and garage influenced ones. The project stays consistent in energy and is the perfect offering for fans who have been patiently waiting for a new project from the OG artist.

On the opening track, “Don’t Gas Me’, Dizzee playfully spits over an energetic fidget house instrumental with lyrics about German whips and shopping.

Dizzee’s major collaboration with Tottenham MC Skepta “Money Right” appears on the project which sees both artists flow over the Hip-Hop beat with skill and charisma. “Money Right” borrows a similar melody and flow to Skepta’s across the pond link up with ASAP Rocky, “Praise The Lord (Da Shine)” taken from Rocky’s album Testing.

Dizzee recently spoke to radio host Julia Adenuga about how the collaboration with Skepta came about. He revealed the wavey track only took thirty minutes to make.

“Spin Ya” is a grime-influenced track where Dizzee offers a sick verse and is accompanied by south London rapper P-Money and fierce femcee C Cane.

The instrumental to “Quality”, which is slower in pace to the rest of the project, resembles the style of 90s video game instrumentals like Sonic the Hedgehog whilst party-ready “Patterning Vibez” picks back up the pace.
