Social media has gone into meltdown after a fan theory suggested that Kim Kardashian is the notorious “KiKi” from “In My Feelings” and that Drake had a secret relationship with the reality television star.
As previously reported, the identity of KiKi is constantly debated with some suggesting it is Drake’s ex-girlfriend Canadian singer Keshia Chanté. However, a recent viral fan theory by a Twitter user claims that Kim Kardashian is the mysterious woman and uses lyric annotations and Instagram captions to back his claim.
Drake is friendly with many members of the Kardashian family. He resides in the same Los Angeles neighbourhood of Calabasas as the infamous family and can be seen on Snapchat at Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve party and in snaps with Kylie Jenner. Kim Kardashian is referred to as ‘Auntie KiKi’ by members of the Kardashian clan and has used this name for one of her makeup products.
Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Nick Cannon added fuel to the rumours during his appearance on Complex’s internet show Everyday Struggle. Nick Cannon argued that the Drake and Kanye beef seemed unnecessarily personal. When host DJ Akademis said he believed Drake slept with Kim, Nick Cannon said, “There’s something really personal Drake holds over that whole family, that he’s like ‘Y’all don’t want me to let this out’ (sic)”. In response to the rumours, Kim Kardashian posted “Never happened. End of story” on the video of Nick Cannon’s interview.
This new rumour adds friction to an already tense relationship between Drake and Kanye West. The two have been at odds since Kanye took subtle digs at Drake in interviews and the animosity escalated. Drake’s recent diss song “Duppy Freestyle” took shots at both Kanye West as his G.O.O.D Music label signee Pusha T.
Kanye recently spoke about his relationship with Drake in an interview. He said, “When we talk about the Drake thing, it hits me in a really sensitive place because you hang around people and they come to your house and be around your family and this and that and they get mad about a beat and send you purple demon emojis”.
