Elon Musk has dropped a rap song in a shocking new move from the billionaire most famous for his work with SpaceX and Tesla.

The 54th richest man in the world according to Forbes created the rap track entitled “RIP Harambe” under the record label Emo G Records and posted the track to Soundcloud.

“RIP Harambe” is named after the now viral story of an adult gorilla who was shot and killed when a three-year-old boy climbed into his enclosure whilst visiting a zoo.

The track is just under two minutes long and features an attempt at hip-hop from Elon which takes the form of rap lyrics and autotune tinged vocals over the commercial hip-hop instrumental.

Shortly after posting the link to the track on Twitter, Elon Musk then followed up with tweets announcing that the label had failed.

Known for his sense of humour and love of a practical joke, many are assuming that the “RIP Harambe” track is merely an early April Fools Day joke or an attempt at trolling the public.
