While America defends itself from a possible racist leader, and Syrian refugees are still stuck at the Macedonia border, Britain’s biggest woe is a national shortage of biscuits.

Two Boeing 777 cargo planes full of biscuits have flown into South Yorkshire in the past two weeks in response to the nationwide biscuit shortage.

The shortage was caused by flooding in Cumbria which forced United Biscuits to close its Carlisle factory, where McVities, Jacob’s and Crawford’s biscuits were manufactured. The factory closed on December 5th due to damaged electrical equipment and ovens.

Hopefully the imported biscuits will help Britain’s biscuit craving until the factory is fully up and running again later this month.
