Facebook are rolling out a new feature in the US that lets users shop through their website, and it is now possible for users in the United States to order food, book appointments or buy tickets on certain business pages. Madting.
Seen as part of an effort to get users to shop through Facebook rather than external sites, they stated that they are “introducing some new ways for people to take action faster”. This follows their release of the new Marketplace feature, which enables you to buy and sell items through Facebook with ease.
Currently, the foodie update has only been released in the US, but Facebook have said that “over the coming months we’ll be launching even more new features that will make it easier to get things done, make confident decisions and communicate directly with businesses on your time and terms”
Hopefully soon enough we’ll see Facebook allowing us to get our takeaways without even having to log out here in the UK.
