People come and go in your life, but thing is an ever present: your family. That goes just the same for everybody, including the musicians in our scene.

There”s a few individuals that have kept the family close in their careers, with plenty of them having careers of their own. We’ve decided to celebrate that blood bond and round up seven sets of siblings that have all made a lasting impact on the scene.

Check out out picks below now on GRM Daily.

Jme, Skepta & Julie

GRM Daily

Perhaps the most celebrated siblings in our culture, the Adenuga family has proved to have a real lineage for creative talent. Skepta and Jme are two of the brightest stars in grime music and have taken the genre to new heights for over a decade. Their sister fronts Beats 1 radio too, as well as running plenty of hosting gigs and workshops for aspiring industry heads. Plus, their brother Jason – who remains out of the spotlight – is a producer and had several beats on his big brother’s Mercury Prize winning album Konnichiwa.

Griminal, Marcus Nasty, Lil Nasty & DJ Mac 10

GRM Daily

Another family that has been about the scene from round about day one. Featuring bad boy DJ’s from the days of Sidewinder and Rinse, as well as some hard MC’s, the sibling set up of Marcus, Griminal, Mac 10 and Lil Nasty is not one to be messed with and their legacy remains to this very day.

Megaman & Swiss

GRM Daily

The legacy of So Solid Crew is one that needs little introduction. They’re influence on popular music has been well documented and they’re more than partially to thank for the success the scene is seeing today. The crew had many talented members in its ranks, but the backbone is really a family ting. Founding fathers Megaman and Swiss are brotherly bonded and they continue to release tunes together to this very day.

Giggs, Joe Grind & Gunna Dee

GRM Daily

South London rap – and UK rap generally – has never been the same since Giggs burst through in the mid noughties, but he didn’t come through on his ones. His brothers Joe Grind and Gunna Dee have been beside him and the rest of the SN1 squad from the start. All three of them have engineered classic bangers, with each other and solo too, and continue to dominate the scene to this very day. Big up this all-star family.

Big H, Paper Pabs & President T

GRM Daily

Another original crew that’s backed by a brotherly bond. Big H, Paper Pabs and President T have been acclaimed names in grime since their days in the legendary Bloodline crew. They’ve had iconic rave bangers, flows, clashes and everything in between, making these three of the most influential siblings in the game. Bloodline bros for life!

Twin(s) B

GRM Daily

We’ve shone a light on plenty of sibling musicians, but now it’s time to give a little love to a couple of the most legendary behind the scenes dons. Responsible for bringing some of your favourite artists to the limelight as A&R’s, radio presenters and plenty more, the Twins B are a powerhouse pairing in the music industry.

Wiley & Cadell

GRM Daily

They’ve been through some ups and downs as brothers, but another pair of blood bonded donnys is undoubtedly Wiley and his younger brother Cadell. The Godfather of Grime has had back and forths with his brodem, but the pair have still come together to create some serious bangers together, like 2015’s “Shredded Wheat”. Credit where credit is due, these two had to make the list.
