Forbes Magazine has revealed its list of the highest paid musicians of 2020 and Kanye West has secured the number 1 spot.

Ye tops the list with earnings of around $170 million in the past year, beating the likes of Elton John and Ariana Grande who respectively have earnings of $81 million and $72 million.

Kanye West isn’t the only rapstar to make the top 25 as Jay-Z comes in 12th with $53.5 million, while Drake isn’t far behind at 15th with earnings of $49 million.

Rihanna – who was recently named the UK’s wealthiest woman after moving to London recently – is reported to have raked in $46 million, taking the 18th spot on the list.

News of Kanye’s riches come shortly after it was revealed he had launched a college fund for the daughter of George Floyd, while also donating $2 million to charities associated with Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.
