MPs have voted by 438 to 20 to have an election before Christmas on December 12, in an election which is dubbed to be the most unpredictable contest in a generation and the first December election since 1923.

After Parliament stated that we should have known what to expect for the future of the UK come October 31, Boris Johnson failed to achieve his goal. This has led to the PM winning his fourth bid to take the country to the polls with the support of the Labour Party.

If it is then seen that the House of Lords passes the bill, Parliament will dissolve next Wednesday, for a total of five weeks as the candidates complete their campaign.

After Johnson failed to achieve to take the UK out of the EU on the 31st October, the major battle line within the forthcoming election will be drawn along the line of Brexit.

The Conservative Party will be campaigning to complete Brexit through pushing through Johnson’s deal, while Labour is promising to take the decision to a second referendum, to allow the people to resolve the EU question once and for all.
