Last week, it was reported Grand Theft Auto 6 was in the early stages of development but a leaker has claimed the game is much closer to a release than we thought.
In a recent report, it was stated that GTA 6 was in the “early stages” of being created but streamer Chris Liberty93 – who is followed by Rockstar – has said such claims are false, claiming work on the game began in 2014 and will include a “huge” map.
Chris Liberty 93 also claims the story for the game was already completed before Rockstar Games’ co-founder and writer of GTA, Dan Houser, left the company in February of this year. Voice actor recording for GTA 6 reportedly started straight after Houser’s departure.
Rockstar Games is yet to release an official statement on the progress of GTA 6 but if the new leaks from Chris Liberty93 are anything to go by, the game is deep in the development stages.
