GRM battle rap roundup is back and on this week’s instalment we have a mixture of comical, aggressive, unexpected antics with just pure out right lyrical disrespect for your listing and viewing pleasure.
Drawing for the first battle on the GRM round up we got the comical gun bar, beat making producer/rapper Wizard making his return vs the seasoned yet unpredictable witty intellect of Ogmios. I have to say this battle is very funny nearly every scheme, punchline, simile and metaphor had me either chuckling or cracking up with laughter….. Enjoy!
For my second choice we head over to Canada’s KOTD for Charron vs John John Da Don. This battle is intense there are personals jabs, politics, name mentioning all jam packed into 3 rounds from both rappers. Its basically Canada vs America for bragging rights! I cant call winner but let us know who you think got it…thats if you even care about all that!
This third one was brought to my attention by someone in the comment box. They said Rivers had mentioned GRM Daily in a lyric, out of curiosity I checked it out. Familiar with Rivers’s work i was very impressed with his delivery against a unusual but humours opponent named Quack. Although the battle didn’t take place within the last week I thought I had the shed light on this one and not because of the fact GRM got called in a bar.
For the fourth I had figured that I had to choose between a few decent up and comers on the Don’t Flop channel once again. Waiting for the comments to ping off on why i chose Frankie Frasier and Jaybe… its because feel like both rappers have been making ground within the last year and deliver a lot of passion in each battle…. this one is slightly aggressive but with a hint of funny rhymes from both rappers.
This weeks ‘ Wild Card’ is between two of Hip Hop’s royalties from the 90s. Onyx very own Fredro Starr and Def Squads Keith Murray. If you’re looking to see two veterans go head-to-head barging, behaving wild throwing personals slurs not to be taken on seriously then this one is for you….
