Welcome back to GRM Freshest Out, the one-stop place for the hottest US tunes of the week. Griff has rounded up the five best songs from across the pond, and as always it’s a diverse playlist you don’t want to miss out on. Check in and check out #GRMFreshestOut below and be sure to catch up on last week’s picks here too.

Da Baby – Find My Way

First up on this week’s Freshest Out list is the brand new single from North Carolina rapper Da Baby. He unleashed “Find My Way”, a track that was seemingly put out with the intention of silencing any critics who claim he’s repetitive with his flows, dabbling in some different patterns and investigating different pockets, whilst peppering some melodies throughout too. He drops the new single alongside a cinematic new visual, which is well worth the watch in its own right.

Sheff G – Moody

Another rising star coming out of Brooklyn, New York, is Sheff G. He unveiled a brand new single this week called “Moody”, which finds him switching his usual style for something more experimental and melodic, but the results are just as fruitful as when he’s attacking a drill instrumental. He keeps things short and sweet, with the song clocking in at under two minutes, but this one is well worth adding to your playlist.

Fredo Bang – Trust Issues

Next up is “Trust Issues”, the latest release from Louisiana rapper Fredo Bang, who unveiled the tune alongside a simplistic video from inside the studio in celebration of his 24th birthday. He brings some rough round the edges vocals to a piano-laden backdrop, the rawness in his melodies making sure that the takeaway from this release is pain, straight from the gut.

BIA – Cover Girl

After making a splash appearing alongside Russ on the hit song “Best On Earth”, earning a cosign from Rihanna in the process, MC BIA made sure she was a name that’s about to be on everybody’s lips. This week she proved she can stand tall on on her own two feet, with the release of her latest offering, “Cover Girl”. A pounding and bass-driven beat provides a powerhouse canvas for her to lay down some rhymes, cool, confident and collected ones at that too.

Turbo, Gunna & Young Thug – Quarantine Clean

If you’re looking for one song inspired by the current global isolation as the world fights off COVID-19, look no further than this heater from a heavyweight trio of artists, as Turbo, Gunna and Young Thug join forces. “Quarantine Clean” finds Turbo lacing the pair of artists with a laidback and almost solemn instrumental to flex over, as they show off once again how productive their chemistry can be when they jump into the studio together.
