Hot off the heels of his ‘Hustlism’ project, SN1’s poster boy Gunna Dee has released his next instalment, ‘OCD’. Sonically sounding like an album project, Gunna Dee’s 9 track mixtape intertwines tales of the hood, with aspirations of transcending the pitfalls of road life.

Always fresh, even when in the dirtiest of situations, Gunna Dee proclaims on stand out track “Mood”, that he’s that “trapper rolling round with his toothbrush”. Mixed with a flurry of intoxicating instrumentals, Gunna Dee holds his own with laidback flows that psychologically depicts the mind frame of a trapper on his relentless daily mission to stack paper.

“Drake Shit” is another stand out track on ‘OCD’. On this track Gunna Dee lyrically skips in and out of a Drake sounding beat and male melodic R&B vocal harmonies. His opening line – “Sick of dodging feds, that I don’t even duck no more” – neatly inserts the listener into a narrative of “selling packs”, to dismissing chicks in pursuit of financial victory.

Overall Gunna Dee’s ‘OCD’ project is definitely one to stick in the whip whilst driving through city landscapes. We definitely look forward to seeing some visuals for this project.
