North London star Headie One has finally gifted us with his debut album, EDNA.
Since dropping “Know Better” with RV at the start of 2018, Headie One has gone on to become one of the scene’s heavy hitters, dropping several big singles as well as projects such as Music x Road and GANG. The quality of his material has had fans eagerly awaiting a full studio album and now that it’s arrived, they definitely won’t be disappointed.
Titled after his late mother, who he describes as a “huge motivation” in his journey, EDNA contains 20 tracks and sees Headie One at his most open, coming through with introspective joints such as “Breathing”, “Psalm 35” and “Therapy”. Of course, the LP also features vibey offerings too as evident on “Teach Me”, “Princess Cuts”, “Only You Freestyle” and several other singles.
Headie doesn’t go it alone on the album, enlisting big names in the music industry such as Drake, Future, Aitch, Skepta, M Huncho and many more.
