Headie One and Fred Again have gifted us with their brand-new, joint mixtape entitled GANG.
Since announcing the project earlier on in the week, fans have been eagerly awaiting its release and now that it’s arrived, they definitely won’t be disappointed with the outcome.
Headie and Fred first demonstrated their chemistry as a pair back in January when they released “Charades” – a mellow and seamless collaborative single – and the refined sound which is existent on the track is present throughout the entirety of the tape. The duo aren’t alone on the project, as the likes of Sampha, FKA Twigs and Jamie xx make appearances on “Soldiers”, “Judge Me” and “Smoke”.
Speaking on the 8-track project, Headie said: “GANG is a shared love of music from two people with different backgrounds. The title represents loyalty and friendship, these things are important to me and Fred and I quickly developed this whilst recording the project over the past few months. We feel we really create something special when we’re together.”
