The promotional campaign for Jay Z’s fourteenth album 4:44 is gearing up and we’re being treated to more and more teasers from the imminent release.
We already know that visuals will play a big part in the album, with a short clip featuring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o and Danny Glover dropping last month. Now, a new clip entitled “Kill Jay Z” has got tongues wagging.
The video features a young boy running for his life wearing a t-shirt bearing the slogan “Stay Black”.
It’s looking more and more likely that the Tidal exclusive album is going to be a visual album, and with a name like “Kill Jay Z” it sounds fairly emotionally charged. Could we be looking at a response to Beyonce’s Lemonade?
