If you’re familiar with BBK co-founder Jme’s music and general steeze, you know man is a die hard vegan. Hell, the opening track from Integrity> “Pulse 8” even features the line “V gang, now I see clearer. No meat, no cheese, no milk, no eggs”.

Now, it what seems like the best career choice any human has ever made, the “Serious” rapper has been cast as a fictional version of himself in the upcoming vegan flick Carnage: Swallowing The Past.

The film is set in dystopian 2067, 50 years in the future in a land where eating animals is a thing of the past. The film will see its characters struggle to come to terms with the fact that their grandparents could have taken part in an act as barbaric as eating another living animal or any of its produce.

The movie was written and directed by former Nevermind The Buzzcocks and Popworld host, Simon Amstell, so you know it’s going to be full of his trademark dry humour. Speaking about the project, the comedian said, “I have written and directed a film about veganism. I’m sorry.”

Martin Freeman and Joanna Lumley are both set to star in the film as well as a host of other British celebrities. No word on the exact release date yet but we do know it’ll be coming to BBC iPlayer sometime this Spring.
