South London’s Joe Grind is back with new material for us, this time coming through with a new project entitled RTG 2: Embrace The Grind.

Standing as an abbreviation for Respect The Grind 2, the latest tape from Joe Grind sees the SN1 spitter enlist a number of rappers who know all about grafting; including the likes of his blood brother Giggs, Ghetts, Jme, Tiny Boost and more. The tape is 10-tracks long and is filled with a gritty vibe, reflected in many of the song titles such as “Pain”, “From The Ghetto” and “Ramping”.

“After the release of my last project ‘Respect The Grind’ I spent a lot of time reflecting on my journey so far, thinking about when I started climbing this mountain in which we call life,” Joe Grind wrote when announcing the project on Instagram earlier this month. “So many times I would try to find the shortcuts to the top to avoid the risk of losing, pain and hardships that came with this journey only to end up back where I started.”

He added: “I then understood that when you choose your journey, you must also choose to embrace all the challenges & pain that come with it no matter how hard they may be and with my God given ability I chose to put my relatable journey into music to help people understand my life and hopefully theirs a lot greater than they already did.”
