So if you didn’t already know (maybe you’ve been living under a rock), Kanye West is prone to a name change or three. With his new album only two days away from being released (11th February), the rap diva has once again decided to change the title of his forthcoming opus.
We’ve had the ‘So Help Me God’ (I think he needs it), then ‘SWISH’ (which everyone agrees is kinda sick) and then the controversial ‘Waves’ title, that kicked off a twitter tidal wave of rants and pre-school like behaviour from yours truly, including that interesting back and forth with Wiz Khalifa.
With him having made world peace again with Wiz, and THAT picture of Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian surfacing all over social media platforms, we’ve all been starting to think that this was just one big publicity stunt leading up to the new album which has been renamed ‘T.L.O.P’.
Yes – another name! We can’t keep up. Not only is this the new name of the album, no one actually knows what it means. Ye’ has put it out there (on social media obviously) that anyone who guesses what ‘T.L.O.P’ stands for will win a free pair of Yeezy’s (real ones I’m guessing) and a ticket to Season 3 (lucky you). Maybe he doesn’t even know and will just run with the best entry?!
So in a couple of days ‘T.L.O.P’ will finally be released (if it’s still called that) and we may get to finally know what it means, all in all who actually cares what the album is called right? If we go by what Sir West is saying we may be getting a masterpiece of an album that fits into the “Gospel” category. If that’s the case, let the genius preach all he wants.
