Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are working with U.S. President Donald Trump to free A$AP Rocky from prison, according to reports.
TMZ have reported the couple are currently talking to Trump and officials in the White House about ways to free A$AP Rocky from a Swedish jail. Sources close to the pair say Kanye encouraged his wife to collaborate with the White House after he heard of Rocky’s case.
Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to thank the U.S. president for his involvement in the efforts to release the Harlem rapper.
“Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @secPeompeo, Jared Kushner & everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends,” she wrote.
“Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated.”
Rocky was arrested in Sweden on suspicion of assault two weeks ago after a video emerged online of the artist and his friends fighting a man on the street and has been held in solitary confinement since. A$AP Rocky’s team have said the fight took place after the rapper was being harassed.
News of Kim Kardashian’s attempt to release A$AP Rocky comes just months after she announced she is currently studying to receive a criminal law degree.
