Krept & Konan are just making power move after power move lately! After their insightful NFTR last week and with their highly anticipated debut album The Long Way Home set to drop July 6th (if you haven’t already pre-ordered, where have you been? Make sure you get that here), today came a HUGE announcement from the Play Dirty camp. In an unexpected move, Krept & Konan have signed to Def Jam, and visibly couldn’t be happier. We don’t blame them.
Joining ranks with some of the biggest American artists (including Freak of the Week featured artist Jeremih, Fabolous, Big Sean, Jeezy, Kanye… the list goes on) and fellow Brit Leona Lewis, the unstoppable boys from South have outdone themselves yet again. The first UK rappers to sign to Def Jam is no small feat. Great news for Krept & Konan, great news for the UK scene, great news for Def Jam and great news for the world. This really is game changing and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
