At the beginning of March, Jammer finally revealed the official line up for the next instalment of Lord of the Mics. The emphasis of the 2019 iteration of the legendary battle circuit is on showcasing new talent; the line up features the likes of Tommy B, Jaffro, Yizzy and Reece West to mention a few. To promote LOTM 8, Jammer took to the River Thames with some of these rising stars in tow, and a boat full of alcohol for a grimey take on a Magaluf booze cruise.
The bars were stocked with Magnums, Alize, Henny and of course the godfather Wrey and Nephew. Once the boat set off from Tower Hill, the passengers were left to drain the bar of its wares, while the DJ plied his trade diligently, filling the deck with the sounds that have defined the last 16 years since LOTM’s inception. Some lucky fans were able to win tickets, although there were also some important figures in the scene also in attendance with the likes of ManLikeHaks, SteveoTheMadMan, Rebecca Judd, Hyperfrank and Sharky Major taking in the ambience.

Jammer was of course playing host to the evenings events, and before long the drinks weren’t the only things flowing, as Tommy B and Jay 0117 were called onto the stage to lock horns. The two MCs traded bars ferociously both getting huge crowd reactions for their various lyrical tirades, definitely going to be an exciting clash to look out for when the real thing goes down.

A second clash followed in which two MCs passionately took to the stage spraying bars and getting in each other’s faces, which looked like it might boil over into more than lyrical war on a few occasions.
It wasn’t all hype, Jammer brought the temperature down by inviting Colesy, the hilarious Irish Driller from Instagram to perform for the first time; who delivered a hilarious rendition of some of comedy to a hyped up LOTM crowd.

The highlight of the evenings festivities was undoubtedly an electrifying performance from Jafro, who’s performance of his underrated Blackbox freestyle sent the crowd into another frenzy. Jammer closed out the launch party with a performance of his own. Be sure to keep it locked on GRM Daily for the latest LOTM news.
