If you can’t get enough of Love Island, you’ll be pleased to know that another season of the show will return even sooner than next summer!

Love Island
bosses have confirmed that 2020 will see the airing of two seasons of the show – one in early winter 2020, as well as the annual summer series.

The producers of the show have also said the winter version won’t take place in the same villa as the summer season, as the Love Island contestants in the winter edition will head to a villa in South Africa.

Speaking on the upcoming winter season, Angela Jain – Managing Director ITV Studios Entertainment – said: “We love making Love Island for ITV2. The show’s success is testament to the magnificent production team that decamp to Mallorca every year to deliver the award-winning show with its trademark warmth, wit and wide-ranging appeal. And now 2020 is going to have even more love than before.”

News of two seasons of Love Island in 2020 comes after a successful run of this year’s show, as it has become the most watched programme of 2019 for adults aged 16-34 and also has two billion impressions on Twitter.

If this year is anything to go by, we can expect the winter season to be just as popular.
