Atlanta native rapper iLoveMakonnen made bold moves last month when he very publically announced that he was gay via Twitter. Since then, the hip-hop community and artists have come out in force to support his honesty.

That is, apart from Migos.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, one member of the trio made perfectly clear how they felt about the situation. Quavo starts telling the journalist he’s chatting to how much he loves Atlanta’s “diversity”, at which point the journalist uses the opportunity to bring up Makonnen’s recent announcement. Apparently a long, awkward pauses ensues before Quavo shouts “damn, Makonnen!”

The journalist informs them of Makonnen’s wave of support, which none of Migos seem to approve of. “They supported him?” Quavo asks. “That’s because the world is fucked up,” Replies Offset. Takeoff adds, “This world is not right.”

Though they’re quick to point out that his upset isn’t homophobia, rather at how they feel deceived by Makonnen’s lyrics. Quavo continues “We ain’t saying it’s nothing wrong with the gays, [but] he first came out talking about trapping and selling Molly, doing all that. That’s wack, bro.”

This certainly seems to be a risky stance for Migos to take considering the immense support he’s receiving elsewhere. Could this be the thing that kills the “Bad and Boujee” hype?
