After nearly 10 years out the game Monkstar makes his return to the Grime scene.
For the Grime fans who are asking who is Monkstar? Let me start from the beginning.
In the early stages of Grime the best and pretty much only way to hear your favourite emcees go back to back was via pirate radio.
Monkstar was a former member of N.A.S.T.Y Crew, who in the early 2000’s would be one of the hottest Grime crews around, popular for shelling down sets on De Ja Vu FM.
Round about 04/05 D Double E, Footsie and Monkstar formed Newham Generals, not long after the formation of the Generals the emcee we knew as Monkstar was no longer spitting.

So with rumours circulating from the top end of 2015 that Monkstar could be making a return, what better way to debut than on another station which has been dedicated to Grime from the jump, Rinse FM.
Joining Grime veteran, Sir Spyro for The Grime Show, Monkstar explains where he’s been along with providing that infamous twisted flow with those intellectual bars many Grime fans thought they would never hear grace the airwaves again.
