RING THE ALARM! NEW BEYONCE ALBUM!
In typical Beyonce fashion, her surprise new album Lemonade debuted exclusively on Tidal following her HBO special also titled Lemonade.
According to TIDAL, the project — Beyonce’s sixth studio album — is “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self-knowledge and healing.”
Lemonade, features 12 songs and is accompanied by a short film.
This is Bey’s first album since her last surprise drop the self entitled “Beyonce” in 2013 which featured bangers such as “Drunk In Love”
Back in February this year, Beyoncé released her new song “Formation” with a surprise music video to go along with. She went on to perform the track live at the Superbowl.
The new joint features a wide array of artists including James Blake, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and surprisingly lead singer of The White Stripes, Jack White.
The new project also represents a turnaround in fortunes for TIDAL with this being their 2nd BIG exclusive release in short succession following on from Kanye’s “The Life Of Pablo”. It remains to be seen whether this will help the streaming service compete with the likes of Spotify & Apple Music but with Queen B’s fan base being as huge and loyal as it is, there’s sure to be a short term uptake of subscriptions!
