Rapman has officially announced the release date for his new feature length film Blue Story

As previously reported by GRM News, the rapper, director screenwriter and well-rounded talent had the rights to Blue Story purchased by Paramount Pictures who will work with BBC Films to produce the film.

At the time, Rapman said, “It’s a dream come true to be making my first feature film with Paramount and BBC Films. They believe in the story as much as I do, I can’t wait for the world to see it”.

Now Rapman has announced that the world will see it this year on the 22nd of November.

In an Instagram post, Rapman said, “November 22nd!! 5000 Comments and 5000 Shares and ill drop the trailer”.

The new plot of the movie length version of Blue Story is yet to be revealed but the initial press announcement named several actors who will star in the film including Khali Best, Kadeem Ramsay, Stephen Odubola, Eric Kofi-Abrefa and Karla-Simone Spence.

The project was shot on location around South London in Lewisham and Peckham.

The original Blue Story started its life on YouTube and centred around the lives of Timmy and Marco; two friends who live in rivalling areas and have their friendship and loyalty tested.  Blue Story stays true to Rapman’s innovative style of combining a visual narrative with a lyrical one and this same formula was used when creating his most famous work, the Shiro’s Story series.
