Legendary New York rapper Prodigy has died aged just 42.
The veteran MC was one half of the iconic duo Mob Deep. A representative of the rapper has confirmed his death this afternoon.
The cause of his untimely death is yet to be announced, but it is being reported that he was found unconscious in his room this morning, before being declared dead.
The statement reads, “Prodigy was hospitalized a few days ago in Vegas after a Mobb Deep performance for complications caused by a sickle cell anemia crisis.
“As most of his fans know, Prodigy battled the disease since birth. The exact causes of death have yet to be determined.”
