Chelsea football star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has become the latest victim of tabloid reports after his neighbours complained to the press and his local council that the footballer has been playing “drill rap” too loud in his home.

The Chelsea player currently resides in a luxury home in Surrey which he paid £1.8 million pounds for and Ruben has been reported to his local council for allegedly playing loud music.

Several of his neighbours loudly voiced their complaints in an interview with a tabloid newspaper.

One said she has to “scream over the fence to get the volume turned down”.

In a letter written to the local council, one resident said the following, “During summer months we are regularly forced to scream over the fence to get the volume turned down, the music is often offensive in content. This unacceptable noise level alerts us to the decking area/parties taking place on the deck, making it increasingly intrusive.”

“On a sunny day, they play deafening drill and rap music from big speakers on the decking and the lyrics are quite offensive. It makes you feel like you’re in a ghetto not leafy Cobham”.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has not yet commented on the allegations or confirmed his love for the “drill rap” genre.

The 23-year-old mid-fielder is currently undergoing rehabilitation after rupturing his Achilles’ tendon. It is hoped that he will return to the pitch in November.
