Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has said that he’s keen for Fabric to have a future, after it was closed indefinitely this week following two more drug-related deaths at the Farringdon venue.

After the news, DJs began to Tweet the Mayor with their concerns about its closure, encouraging him to act and save a key part of the capital’s thriving nightlife.

Khan then responded to DJ Artwork, and released a statement encouraging compromise for the sake of the club.

Scotland Yard had Fabric’s license suspended following a 18-year-old losing his life at the venue on the 25th of June, and another on the 6th of August.

The club’s future will be decided within 28 days.
