Sex in your house with someone from outside of your household is set to become illegal from Monday the 1st of June.

The government is introducing new lockdown measures banning people from socialising (or gathering) in a private space with one person from outside their household. Before this new law, the person entering a house for sex would have been the one in breach of the measures. Now, both people can be charged under the law.

The new legislation explicitly bans being inside the house or at a gathering of more than one person without a reasonable excuse such as attending a funeral, seeking refuge from violence or those with specific work commitments.

As it is already illegal to have sex in public places, there is no way around this new law.
