It’s already won our hearts (and the Mercury Prize, by the way) but Skepta and his incredible album Konnichiwa still haven’t stopped reigning in the accolades.
It was today announced that Skepta has sold over the equivalent of 100,000 copies, certifying it as officially Gold status by the BPI.
Skepta posted on Instagram of the achievement, saying, “We did it! #KonnichiwaIsGold– Infinite thanks to everybody listening worldwide for real.
“To all that offered me their help and time along the way I love you spiritually and this is still just the beginning, beast mode loading. Boy Better Know forever, Greatness only. The weekend just became 1 day longer.”
