Northampton rapper Slowthai comes through with a fresh project, the Runt EP.
In a similar vein to his I Wish I Knew EP, Slowthai continues to paint the bleak picture of being a devious young man living in the UK. The five tracks on Runt EP encapsulate the various sounds he can produce, from the more reflective tracks like “Call My Own”, and the opener “Disneyland”, to the more brash and grimy sounds of “Drug Dealer” and “GTFOMF (Get The F*ck Out My Face)”. Slowthai also continues his trend of picking obscure instrumentals like the violin and xylophone infused trap beat on the EP’s last track “Slow Down”.
With now a couple of EP’s to his name, perhaps Slowthai’s next project will be an album. For more from him check out the video’s for his sick tracks “Ladies” and the Joker inspired “Polaroid” on GRM Daily.
