Friday 22nd November saw Manchester’s 02 Victoria Warehouse host Spotify’s Who We Be Live. With guests such as Tion Wayne, Octavian and Aystar being on the bill, as well as the 0161’s very own Aitch headlining the event, we saw some of the biggest and best names perform.

While celebrating the very best from the UK and beyond, the event saw some very special guests hit the stage. The likes of M Huncho, Young T & Bugsey, Darkoo, Pop Smoke, Zie Zie and the King of the North himself, Bugzy Malone made very rememberable appearances.

Highlights from the night came from Zie Zie joining Aitch on stage for a sick performance of “Buss Down” and their brand-new single “French Kisses”. This then lead to Young T & Bugsey hitting the stage with Aitch to perform their number one hit “Strike A Pose”. With Bugzy also performing on his home turf, he tore the roof off with an iconic performance of his Facing Time hit, “Beauty and The Beast”.

Following their performances on stage, Bugzy Malone said: “I was meant to be on a break, but when I heard Spotify were coming to Manchester, I had to turn up.” While Aitch also added to the success of the night by patriotically saying, “Manchester is the best city in the world.”

As well as highlighting homegrown talent, U.S star Doja Cat was also in attendance, gracing the stage with a set full of energy.

With Who We Be being curated by Spotify’s in-house urban music team, while being the biggest urban playlist in the UK and Ireland, the event marked the fourth sold-out event and has continued to stand as a testament to the popularity of the UK’s ever-growing UK music scene.
