Love Island has (somewhat embaressingly) gripped the nation this year with the broadcast of its third series, and they’ve had a pretty bizarre connection with rap and grime during its duration so far.
From Kem and Chris freestyling, to Marcel repping for Blazing Squad, there’s been plenty of instances. Today though, things are about to take a step further.
A new task has the islanders read out tweets from the general public and some famous fans too. One such tweet comes from the Wicked Skengman himself, Stormzy, and it’s due to cause serious waves in the villa when it airs tonight.
His tweet reads, “Chris you’re too good for her mate,” in reference to his current girlfriend on the show, Olivia. It causes yet another row between the tumultuous couple, with Chris agreeing, “He’s right though isn’t he, I am too good for her, way too good.”
As per usual, Olivia wasn’t too happy with the tweet, reacting angrily and saying, “I just feel fed up man, I know I bring it up in myself but I have to put so much work in to make this right, we both have and now it feels like we’re back to square one. I don’t want to argue anymore.
“When I said that comment, me and Chris weren’t together and I told Chris I was 50/50 between sacking me and Chris off or starting a fresh start with Mike. It was also said in jest. I just don’t want to argue any more, we’ve argued for four weeks. I am what I am, maybe Chris is too good for me.”
Love Island returns on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
