The production house that brought us classics such as Spirited Away and My Neigbor Totoro has opted to put their entire filmography on Netflix for the world’s streaming pleasure.

With no releases from the studio since 2014, there has been a demand for the magical movies they’ve come to be renowned for.

Studio Ghibli was founded nearly 35 years ago, their tales spanning across generations, winning awards and gaining amazing critical acclaim. In light of co-founder Hayao Miyazaki retiring and other co-founder Isao Takahata sadly passing away back in 2018, the Netflix acquisition is a great way to keep their legacy alive.

All 21 films are set to roll out on Netflix everywhere but Japan and the US over the next three months – Castle in the Sky,My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Porco Rosso & more land on February 1st.
