Less than three weeks into 2019 and Octavian is having a sick year. The Black Butter Record signee was announced as part of BBC 1Xtra’s “Hot for 2019” list as well as winning BBC’s “Sound of 2019” poll, making him the first rapper to win the poll since 50 Cent claimed the top spot 16 years ago.
Leaving himself no time to revel in the celebrations, he’s starting the year as he means to go on, already dropping some new material alongside Take A Daytrip.
Take A Daytrip is made up of the New-York based DJ/producer duo, Denzel Baptise and David Biral. Due to release their Take A Daytrip vs. London EP, the pair has worked on multiple projects with various UK artists.
Full of bassy beats and heavy kick drums “Stressed” is the first single from the upcoming EP that’s due to drop at some point this year.
