After being sentenced back in December, Tekashi 6ix9ine has received an official date for his release from prison.
6ix9ine’s lawyer has confirmed that the rapper will be released from prison on 2nd August 2020.
The controversial New York rapper was originally looking at 47 years behind bars for crimes related to his association with the Nine Trey Bloods but after becoming a cooperating witness; testifying against two gang members, 6ix9ine was given 24 months as a reward for his assistance.
Because he had already served 13 months while awaiting sentencing and only has to serve 85% of his sentence, Tekashi 6ix9ine will be freed from behind bars in August.
