Welcome back to our definitive guide to the best music videos of the week, your only must-visit destination for the best visuals in the scene. 2016 is continuing it’s hella strong start, with no signs of releases slowing down any time soon. Sometimes the year starts slowly, with artists waiting until summer to drop the big bangers, but not this year. Check out this week’s picks, hand selected by our guy Griff, with new drops coming from Chipmunk and more,

Chipmunk – “Sonic Boom”

Taken from his most recent release, the very hard mixtape ‘Rap Vs Grime‘, Chipmunk releases a brand new set of black and white visuals for the track “Sonic Boom”. The song itself is a re-upped version of Drake and Future’s transatlantic smash “Scholarships”, with Chip going all out over the Splurgeboys beat.

TE dness – “Repping”

Ask T what he’s doing today and he’ll tell you straight up. Fresh off the release of his brand new mixtape ‘Not Much Longer‘, he’s already liberated the project’s first video. Interpolating a few of the scene’s biggest hits over the last year, he shows out across Stormzy’s sold out live tour in the video.

Cashtastic – “4AM In Kingston”

Although the visual itself isn’t exactly groundbreaking, it’s still very important. Minimal and basic, the focus here is Cashtastic’s bars, who lets off a stream of consciousness. While we still pray that he can make his way back to the UK at some point, if Jamaica can keep inspiring this level of lyricism then all is not lost.

Tinie Tempah – “Look At Me” (ft. Giggs)

Make what you like of Tinie Tempah and his controversial latest project ‘Junk Food’, but sometimes you can’t deny that little bit of quality. While the track isn’t going to be Tinie’s biggest smash and the guest verse is by no means Giggs’ strongest, this video is actually very dope. With some bad girls, some fast food and a suited up steeze, Tinie and the Hollowman deliver their bars straight from behind closed doors.

Wretch 32 & Avelino – “The 15th” (ft. Sneakbo & Moelogo)

North London’s dynamic duo, the ultimate student/master pairing, Wretch 32 and Avelino have released another new visual from their stellar collaborative project ‘Young Fire Old Flame’. The new visual, for the Sneakbo and Moelogo featuring track “The 15th”, has the four artists take it to the streets in North, while the instrumental and hook make it feel that much closer to Africa.
